Yes, I’ve been to the Australia Zoo… last Saturday that is. Haha. Sorry for the delay in updating again coz I’ve got to catch up with school. Well good news is there’s heaps and heaps of pictures in this post, about a 100+.
Hmm, I’m in quite a good mood today because I went for a walk in the Botanic Garden in the morning and I bumped into a wedding! I supposed it’s a good thing! =D
I didn’t take picture though. Haha.
Anyway this week is a relatively boring week… Basically it’s just school school and more school. And uh cooking at home. Haha!
Picture taken in a bus, coz I haven’t taken any picture of the bus yet. I haven’t been on the bus since then. Was heading to KS/Jo’s place to play basketball which we didn’t coz we’re lazy. Haa!

Cars here are really cheap.

The Chinese paper here is LOL… They sell sex openly!

This was our lunch – Maggi Mee Goreng (success!)

I slacked at Jo’s for the next few hours talking about rubbish things… rotting and stuff. Haha. I went home at about 9pm with a bag of vegetables… I was walking home from the bus station when this Caucasian male who was walking backwards almost bumped into me. He turned and almost said sorry (He said, “Sor…”), but when he saw that I was Asian, he shouted at me (while I was walking very fast towards the traffic light), “HEY LOOK AT WHERE YOU’RE GOING blablablabla…” That was possibly the only racist (?) treatment I’ve had so far in Brisbane.
The next day was Zoo! I woke up at 6.30am that day because as usual I couldn’t sleep well. Esther and I was supposed to meet KS and people at 9am at Pancake Manor for breakfast. Not a fan of pancake here, I couldn’t finish that pancake. Too sweet!
After breakfast was 1 hour journey to Australia Zoo!
And then we finally reached!! Steve Irwin!

Australia Zoo – Home of the Crocodile Hunter

Visitor Map.

This is a real tortoise. And it’s freaking big!

It was eating and shitting at the same time.

Erm. Random.

Crocodile…

This one is a fake… but it really exists. We (9 people) took a picture on this crocodile… but I don’t know whose camara has that photo. So no photo =(

This thing is a 王八… or better known as Wombat. Hehe!

I sent this photo to my mom and she said it looks like a pig.

It was hiding.

Sleeping Wombat.

Snakes that creeped me out. I’m gonna skip talking about them.

Wombats…?

Birds.

OMG the kangaroo is DAMN CUTE!! The fur is damn soft also!!

Me feeding the Kangaroo. Actually I DO have a little memory of feeding kangaroos the last time I went Kangaroo Island when I was 12. This is fun!

Do not feed like the way I did. I read the notice later and realised that this was the wrong method of feeding. Haha! Luckily Kangaroo Jack didn’t box me. Phew!

Jo and Me.

Jo and Me plus a kid which the kangaroo hopped to afterwards coz the kid had tidbits =_=

Kangaroo standing up straight.

Random picture again.

They were queuing up to TOUCH the koala bear. Which I uh… have no comments. I didn’t queue up. This boy and his monkey bag is damn cute la!

The koala bear.

The koala bear was already sleeping… a break from sleeping?

Spot the koala.

Next was South East Asia animals. Hmm…

The elephant is somewhere in the picture.

This way down to see tigers… which I didn’t take picture of. ORZ!

Emu! Haha cute!

…?

We were walking to the crocodile show… and MORE KANGAROOS!!! This kangaroo had a baby in it’s pouch.

Closer look.

See the legs?

This place is infested with kangaroos!

…?

The Crocodile Hunter!

This snake… is thicker than my arm. Can you imagine?

This cow is 1 and a half weeks old.

Sheeps.

Pigs.

The cow again. I touched it… felt like human hair… 囧rz…

Artifacts.

Esther.

CROCODILE SHOW!!!

Steve Irwin talking.

Okay… the second guy from the left was holding a snake. Can’t really see.

After that was birds… and erm… more birds…
And finally the crocodile! This crocodile is 40 years old and they had a hard time trying to lure the crocodile out. It’s damn slow and lazy.

Trying to make it jump.

Jumped after many tries.

More jumps!

Trying to lure it to the platform.

The emcee gave up trying to lure.

And then suddenly it came out.

*BITE*

And then the show ended. Gah.
We went to see more crocodiles.

And camels. It was having a period… pissed blood. Bleh… smelly…

Tasmanian Devils.

It was too fast. Running everywhere.

12 year old Beaver! Hahaha very cute!

End of visit.

We went Red Cliffe for dinner. NOT RED CLIFF. We stopped by the sea coz we didn’t know the location. It was pretty… How nice to stay here…

The people I went zoo with. They were doing jump shots.

Dinner here.

Morgans Seafood Restaurant. Whoever that suggested eating western is a fucker. Whoops vulgarity!

Esther’s Pasta.

Jo’s Fish and Chips.

My Seafood Mixed Grill which FYI is expensive and not filling at all. Costs me freaking AUD$31. It is fresh, very tasty, but it definitely shouldn’t cost that much. That’s why I say whoever that suggested western is a fucker (WHOOPS AGAIN). At least if it’s Teppanyaki it’d be more filling.

Anyway 3 other guys ordered the same dish as me. I can understand how they feel. Haha. They went to eat KFC after sending me back to UniLodge. It was still okay for me coz Esther couldn’t finish her pasta and I finished it for her.
Heh. This picture was taken during my Project Management tutorial. We played Lego during the tutorial. Lol…

I woke up at 9am today… tried to sleep… but woke up again at 10am, so I went to the Botanic Garden for a walk, which is conveniently 2 streets away.
This way to Botanic Garden and QUT.

Entrance.

Inside.

The pond is very pretty!

…?

Opposite was Kangaroo Point.

The trail ended at QUT’s entrance at the Goodwill Bridge. I walked through QUT and bumped into a wedding! Many kids were running around… Haha!
Went back to the lodge and rotted for another 1 hour. Asked HuiYu out for a walk.
HuiYu is Ah Qi’s BITC mate which I got to know of when she came back from Beijing. I saw her once in UniLodge but couldn’t confirm if it was her, the second time I saw her was when I was coming out of the lift and she was waiting for the lift. Haha! Apparantly she had been in UniLodge for 1 and a half years and she’d recently just came back from Singapore. Such a small world huh!
Anyway I asked HuiYu out for a walk… so we went down to South Bank’s Lifestyle Market, the same one I went 2 weeks ago.
After walking around the market, we head back to the city for lunch. Saw this performer on the way back.

She can try harder though. Not that well done.
Had japanese curry for lunch, couldn’t finish. And then bubble tea… and salad for dinner.
Speaking of food, I was in the city with Jo yesterday and we went to this Malaysian Restaurant at Charlotte Street. The char kway teow is very nice! It tastes just like home!!! Jo had a taste of laksa… haha and I think she’s not very flattered by this delicacy.
AND TO END THIS POST, I HAVE TO SAY THAT I REALLY HATE TO SEE BUTT CRACKS, LET ALONE A MALE BUTT CRACK. PLEASE DON’T LET ME SEE IT. I’VE SEEN LIKE 3 MALE BUTT CRACKS IN A WEEK? OMFG STOP IT!!!
*wash eye*
